About Osteopathic Medicine
A Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is a physician who completes medical school and residency training. DOs have full practice rights in all US states.
Both complete equivalent medical training. DOs receive additional training in osteopathic principles and hands-on treatment.
OMM is hands-on treatment used to identify and address areas of strain or restricted movement. Techniques are gentle and individualized.
Osteopaths are licensed medical doctors who use hands-on treatment to support the body’s inherent capacity for self-regulation and healing. Physical therapists are trained to identify and address movement dysfunction. Both approaches are valuable and often complementary.
A movement education approach that helps the nervous system discover easier, more comfortable ways of moving — not through mechanical repetition or correction, but through gentle exploration and heightened awareness. Dr. Rothman is a certified Feldenkrais practitioner and integrates this into treatment when appropriate.
Appointments
Your visit includes a focused history, a brief structural assessment, and hands-on osteopathic treatment.
Acute pain and injury, post-procedural discomfort including dental procedures, strain from screen use, and recovery after surgery. Treatment is individualized.
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You remain fully clothed during treatment.
You may feel mild soreness or fatigue for 1 to 2 days after treatment. This is temporary and resolves quickly.
Book your appointment online. Appointments are available Saturdays, Sundays, and select Monday mornings. Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 business hours notice. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full fee.
Pricing and Payment
Appointments are $300 for 50 minutes. Payment is due at the time of service. I do not accept insurance. I can provide an itemized superbill upon request that you may submit for out-of-network reimbursement.
